“Haystacks”

I thought this handheld panorama would be fitting to use as the first cover image for the Squarespace template I recently switched to, Devlin. The photo was taken from the top of “Haystacks,” a favourite fell of Alfred Wainwright’s to explore and where his ashes were scattered. Now it’s a favourite of ours too.

If you ever visit The Lake District, and you should, this hike shouldn’t be passed up.

“…for beauty, variety and interesting detail, for sheer fascination and unique individuality, the summit area of Haystacks is supreme.
This is in fact the best fell-top of all.”
